Wildlife has had a significant impact on the creation of coins made of precious metals. By immortalizing these beautiful creatures on gold and silver coins, the industry has recognized this. GBA Group celebrates the diversity and uniqueness of the world through these coins, paying homage to its rich legacy.

GBA Group understands the importance of giving back, especially to nature, to continue to appreciate and protect Australia’s valuable ecosystem for future generations. GBA Group is proud to support the Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital because of this. Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital (BBWH) is Australia’s largest mobile wildlife hospital, a registered charity, and a not-for-profit company limited by guarantee. It was founded by veterinarians Dr. Stephen Van Mil and Dr. Evan Kosack.

The hospital operates from a custom-built, full-sized semi-trailer that was affectionately dubbed Matilda after a public contest to name it. Matilda can be transported to the scene of natural disasters such as bushfires, floods, mass strandings, or oil spills affecting wildlife on a large scale. Animals that are injured, ill, or orphaned can be brought to the Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital for treatment and care by members of the general public and licensed wildlife caretakers.
